The liquidator of bankrupt Lanco Vidarbha Thermal Power Limited has initiated e-auction proceedings for the company’s prime land parcel near Wardha, Maharashtra, with a reserve price of ₹195.34 Crores. The sale, part of the 32nd e-auction cycle under IBC, will conclude on July 2, 2025.

Lanco Vidarbha Thermal Power Limited was a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Lanco Group, for setting up a Thermal Power Plant near Mandva village in Wardha District, Maharashtra. The Company was incorporated for setting up a domestic coal based super critical Thermal Power Plant having two units of 660 MW capacity each near Mandva village in Wardha District, Maharashtra. The Power Plant consists of two (2) nos. of Steam Turbine Generator (STG) sets, each of 660 MW capacity and two (2) nos. of Pulverized Coal Fired Super critical Boilers and the balance of plant.
