CA Final

In a move aimed at aligning with global best practices and providing students with greater opportunities, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the CA Final examination will now be conducted three times a year. Previously held twice a year, the CA Final exams will now take place in January, May, and September, giving candidates more flexibility and attempts to clear the examination.

This change follows ICAI’s decision last year to increase the frequency of the CA Intermediate and Foundation course exams to three times a year. With this latest development, all three levels—CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation—will now have equal attempts annually, marking a significant shift in ICAI’s examination structure.

Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit Also Revised

Along with changes to the CA Final exam, ICAI has also revised the schedule for the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit (ISA). Previously held twice a year in June and December, the Assessment Test for this course will now be conducted three times a year—in February, June, and October. This update aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for ICAI members seeking specialized qualifications.

Commenting on the decision, CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of ICAI, stated:
“These epoch-making decisions will significantly benefit both students and members, offering them enhanced opportunities for success. This move marks a new era in the way we support and guide our future Chartered Accountants. ICAI is working 24/7 for the growth of its members and students. This historic decision will ensure that both students and professionals have abundant opportunities to excel in their careers.”

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 to regulate and develop the Chartered Accountancy profession in India.
